Do I need to become a member to view the site's content?

No you do not. View access to all areas of the site are open to all people accessing the site. Membership is required to post content, to receive automated notifications and content feeds and also to participate in the social networking activities of the site.

Where do I report abuse or violation of site terms?

Report any abuse or other member violations of policy to the email address: abuse@yozumi.com.

I forgot my password, how do I find out what it is?

Click on the forgot password link within the login box. This will take you to a screen where you enter your email address. Assuming you have a valid membership, we will immediately email you your current password.

Is membership free?

Yes, membership is 100% free.

How do I cancel my membership?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "cancel membership" from the left side navigation menu. You will be prompted for confirmation of your cancellation and will your membership will be immediately cancelled following completion of the prompts.

How do I edit my profile?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "profile maintenance" from the left side navigation menu. You will be taken to the profile edit screen where you can make any changes in your profile as you desire.

How do I block another member from emailing me within the in-site messaging system?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "messages" from the left side navigation menu. Once within the in-site messaging area, there will be a selection box where you can input the username of the member you would like to have messages blocked from.

How do I change my password?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "change password" from the left side navigation menu. You will be prompted to input your email address and old password and then input your new password twice to confirm accuracy. Following successful completion of this input, your password will be changed immediately.

How do I change my email address?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "profile maintenance" from the left side navigation menu. You will be taken to the profile edit screen where you can make the change of the new email address.

How do I stop from getting Yozumi email messages?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "profile maintenance" from the left side navigation menu. You will be taken to the profile edit screen where you need to uncheck the box labeled "accept yozumi update emails."

How do I stop from getting email updates when I receive in-site messages?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "profile maintenance" from the left side navigation menu. You will be taken to the profile edit screen where you need to uncheck the box labeled "email notification of new in-site messages."

How do I add new artists to my favorites list?

You must be a current member of the site and be logged in. Locate the artist via the artist search bar, and click once on the faded heart icon under the artist photo. The artist will now be added to your favorite list.

How do I remove artists from my favorite list?

Following your login there are two ways you can remove an artist from your favorite list: 1) locate the artist via the artist search bar and click once on the heart icon under the artist photo or 2) navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "favorite artists" from the left side navigation menu; when you are presented with the list of current favorite artists, check the box to the left of the artist name and click on the button at the bottom labeled "remove selected items".

How do I add new concert attendances to my list?

You must be a current member of the site and be logged in. Locate the live performance or festival you want to add your attendance to. You can locate these either through an artist search and then searching their live calendar or via the master live calendar. If the live performance or festival record does not exist, see How do I add a new live performance record or How do I add a new festival record.

In the upper right hand side of the live performance or festival page content area, click once on the faded microphone icon and your attendance will be recorded.

How do I remove concert attendances from my list?

Following your login there are two ways you can remove an attendance from your list: 1) locate the live performance or festival and click once on the microphone icon in the upper right side of the page content area or 2) navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the "live attendances" from the left side navigation menu; when you are presented with the list of current attendance records, check the box to the left of the record(s) you want to remove and click on the button at the bottom labeled "remove selected items".

How do I post?

You must be a current member of the site and be logged in. Locate the artist, festival or live performance you would like to make a post to. Navigate to the respective area that you want to make the post in, and click on the "post one now" link. You will be taken to the respective posting input screen to perform a new posting.

How do I edit my postings?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the respective "posting maintenance" item from the left side navigation menu. You will be presented with all of your postings of that type. Check the box to the left of the post you want to edit and click the "edit selected item" button on the bottom. You will be directed to a screen providing all of the current post information which you can then make any changes to.

How do I remove my postings?

Following your logging in as a member, navigate to your My Yozumi area and select the respective "posting maintenance" item from the left side navigation menu. You will be presented with all of your postings of that type. Check the box to the left of the post you want to remove and click the "remove the selected item" button on the bottom. All postings that you checked will be removed from the site.

How do I post a live performance or festival experience?

You must be a current member of the site and be logged in. Locate the live performance or festival you would like to post your experience to. You can locate these either through an artist search and then searching their live calendar or via the master live calendar. If the live performance or festival record does not exist, see How do I add a new live performance record or How do I add a new festival record.

Select the "post one now" link in the respective page/experience section to be taken to the respective page to post your experience.

How do I post a video?

We exclusively link to all major video sharing sites (YouTube, MySpace, Veoh, MetaCafe, etc.) for the display and playing of videos within Yozumi. If you have a personal video you want to post into Yozumi, first post it into one of those sites and then simply cut and paste the supplied embedded code from that service into the video posting page within Yozumi. The video will then be fully accessible within Yozumi.

How do I add a new venue record?

You must be a current member of the site and must be logged in. New venue records are added during a new live performance posting. There are already many venues in the database so you can check by starting to add a live performance for your specific venue and seeing if it comes up during the posting process. If the venue does not come up, you can continue to add it during the process of adding the live performance record. The city, state and country are the only attributes that can be added for the venue. We will see the addition of the new venue and complete the remainder of the address and URL as we confirm it is legitimate.

You cannot directly edit an existing venue record. Please email us at info@yozumi.com and advise of any necessary edits to an existing venue record.

How do I add a new live performance record?

You must be a current member of the site and be logged in. Locate the artist that you want to add a new live performance record for. Confirm the performance does not already exist by filtering through the artist's live calendar. Once you have confirmed the record does not exist, from the artist's live calendar page, click on the "don't see a date? add one now" link and you will be taken to the respective page to input a new live performance record.

During the input of a live performance record, you can at the same time record any additional headlining and/or supporting artists to record all of those related performances at the same time.

How do I edit a live performance record?

You must be a current member of the site and be logged in. Locate the live performance record you want to edit and click on the "edit this event" link in the event info section. You will be taken to the respective page to edit the live performance record.
